Saying goodbye to Trixie

As pet owners know, there comes the day when it is time to say goodbye.  Our oldest PBGV (Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen) Trixie was declining rapidly the past week or so and we always said we would not let her suffer.  So this morning we had to say goodbye.

And here are Norton (left) and Trixie ready for another adventure on the road.

Both will be loved and missed and not forgotten.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss. It's hard to lose these beloved companions but I agree, I will not let mine suffer just to keep them with me longer.

  2. Very sorry about your loss. The problem with our pets is that we usually outlive them.

  3. My heart goes out to you. We too lost our best RV traveling buddy, Elvis the Cocker Spaniel, a year ago in March. We still miss him! We know he's here: http://www.petloss.com/rainbowbridge.htm and so is Trixie.

  5. So sorry to hear of your loss! It is so hard to say good-bye to our furry friends....they become part of our families. We will be thinking about you all as you adjust to life without Trixie! Sending hugs!
